The site operates as a commercial showcase for Dutch bulb growers, with fifteen themed gardens — including the Japanese Country Garden and the Historical Garden — serving as open-air catalogues for hybridizers and exporters. Shuttle transfers from Amsterdam Central Station run every thirty minutes during peak weeks, covering the 37-kilometer route in under an hour.
